The second flash mob for in defense of Rila National Park started around 19:40 when the first ten or so people started crossing the pedestrian alley at the Botanic Garden leading to the former cinema Serdika. As early as 18:30 the police had positioned itself at all sides of the Levski Monument. The police was visibly much more numerous than at all previous protests. Police cars and SUVs alone were about 15. Media that usually covers the protests was also waiting in line but there was no live coverage this time. More people started gathering around 19:20. About 150-200 people took part in the protest at its peak moments.

Citizens welcome the Ministry of Environment and Waters’ announcement that an administrative penalty will be issued to the mayor of Sapareva Banya Municipality with reference to the illegal construction of the road Panichishte – Pionerska Chalet. We are also looking forward to additional information from….

More than a hundred eco activists blocked Sofia"s Rakovski street to protest against the building of hotels and a winter sports complex in the national nature park Rila Mountain on Wednesday night.
