One of the most prestigious daily newspapers in Bulgaria - "Standard", accepted the kind invitation of BSPB to adopt and give a name of one of the juvenile Imperial Eagles, which will be tagged a satellite transmitter next month. The name of the eagle Stancho comes from the name of the newspaper.
"Through the symbolic act of adoption we become part of the project LIFE + “Save the Raptors”, commented the publication. Editorial team and readers of the newspaper are pledged to follow the flight of the young eagle.
In early July BSPB experts in cooperation with its partners from the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) will tag satellite transmitters seven juvenile Imperial Eagles. This was the total number of birds, which were placed transmitters will amounts to 14.
