The Fifth Strategic Meeting of “Citizens for Rila” took place in the village of Cherganovo near Kazanluk. We stroke a balance for everything accomplished in 2009. We thanked having existed for a third year- unchangingly active and irreconcilable, and our citizen energy distributing and serving as inspiration, vehicle and example to other citizen campaigns throughout Bulgaria. We realized that for the time we have been working together we have learned an awful lot and have become very professional and almost experts in some sphere. We are taken into account by the institutions, sought after by the media and invited by embassies and ambassadors for joint ecological initiatives for Rila and nature. We have exchanged experience and ideas on leading successful campaigns with the people struggling for clean air in Stara Zagora. We planned our most exciting initiative for the year 2010 – the March for Rila. We have got ideas of new directions in our activities and new approaches to the conservation of the ecosystem in the Seven Rila Lakes region. We did have fun :)
