There were 3 groups demonstrating parallel in fron the Parliament: students, ecologists and agriculter trade unions, which decided to continue demonstrating together. The Parliament stopped working untimely for the aim of having longer Christmas hollidays.

However, the For the Nature Coalition managed to have a meeting with the Chair of the Bulgarian Parliament. Earlier today, we had a meeting with the Chair of the Parliament Committee on forests and agricluture. Both of them declared that the proposed change of the Forestry Act will be returned for discussions in the Committee and not voted in the Parliament at this state of texts. They declared to be ready for a formation of a work group for fixing the land swaps texts and other problems together with representatives of the Coalition.

There were 1000 people demonstrating, all not dissatisfied with the way the current government acts. For a first time the Chair of the Bulgarian Parliament dared to speak in front of the people on the demonstration and to try to inform them about the steps he will take on their requests.
