Petitions Committee in Sofia on 30.10.2008
After the site visits, the European Parliament Committe on petitions met representatives of Bulgarian institutions - Ministry of Environment and water, Ministry of socal affairs, Ministry of education, Ministry of transport. Afterwards, there was joint meeting with all petitioners in the Information center of the European Commission. There was a hige civil attendance in front of the Info center to support a reaction of EU Parliament to help saving Bulgarian nature, parks and Natura 2000 areas, objected in the petitions sent to European Parliament Committe on petitions because of threats of destruction of these areas from illegal construction.
